Cecilia Bartolucci

President

She holds a PhD in Chemistry, and since she started a research career at the National Research Council of Italy in 1989, her main motivation has been a keen curiosity and a desire to broaden her knowledge, particularly in biochemistry and aspects which connect health and disease. She has gained experience in many different sectors, studying the functionality of proteins involved in fundamental biochemical processes and contributing to the optimization of antibiotics and drugs against Alzheimer’s disease. For the past 10 years she has worked on an interdisciplinary project which, starting with the great challenges of our century such as environment, health, nutrition, and energy, integrates scientific knowledge with social needs. A winner of several fellowships, including the von Humboldt and NATO, she has spent many years abroad, driven by the passion for languages and other cultures. She lives surrounded by musicians and books.

Cristina Delicato

Vice-President

Graduated in Economics, she has a master in Marketing and Communication. After many years of corporate experience in consumer goods and telecommunications, she followed her childhood passion for social issues. After an intense experience at the Telethon Foundation, for over eleven years she was Fundraising Director at the Università Campus Bio-Medico in Rome. She is currently director of the Marketing Communication and Fundraising for Smile House Foundation ETS.  Convinced that active participation contributes constructively to change, she is a board member of the Associazione Italiana Fundraiser (Italian Fundraiser Association) and lecturer for the Fundraising School and at the Master in Fundraising, Visual arts, theater, cinema, and sports represent a constant motivation both in her professional and personal life in which she is strongly committed to family affections.

Lucia Bartolucci

Advisor

Diplomata in flauto traverso, ha suonato in orchestra, insegnato in conservatorio e svolto attività musicale come solista e in formazioni cameristiche. Negli ultimi quindici anni si è dedicata allo studio dei flauti dolci e della musica antica. Grazie all’ottima conoscenza di tedesco, inglese e francese, ha lavorato come traduttrice e collaborato con case editrici per traduzioni e revisioni. Per interesse personale si dedica a diverse espressioni di arti applicate e figurative, quali disegno e pirografia. Questi interessi artistici diversificati perseguono il desiderio di trovare un nesso tra le diverse forme artistiche e le diverse culture.

Eugenio De rosa

Advisor

Personalità di rilievo del mondo musicale degli ultimi cinquant’anni Eugenio De Rosa ha seguito un percorso artistico ricco di esperienze culturali significative. La sua lunga attività professionale di pianista concertista lo ha visto con successo sulla scena internazionale, dall’Europa agli Stati Uniti, dal Medio Oriente al Giappone ed è stata accompagnata da un’attività didattica significativa, a livello nazionale e internazionale. È stato direttore di due importanti Conservatori, quello di Perugia e quello di Cagliari. La direzione del Conservatorio di Cagliari si è unita alla direzione artistica della Fondazione Teatro lirico “G.P. da Palestrina” della stessa città. Da lì è nata la sua esperienza nel mondo della lirica ad alti livelli che lo ha portato, successivamente, ad essere protagonista anche in altre realtà, prima tra tutte la Fondazione “Teatro Massimo” di Palermo.

Giorgio Einaudi

Advisor

Physicist, he has taught and carried out research at Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa, University of Florence, University of Pisa, University of California-Irvine, University of Paris, Naval Research Laboratory, Washington DC, George Mason University. He is the author of over a hundred publications in international journals in the field of Space Plasma Physics. He has been Scientific Attaché at the Embassy in Washington, helping to strengthen relations between Italy and the US in science and technology. He was Senior Advisor at the Ministry of Environment, working to facilitate innovation and dissemination of low-carbon technologies. Deputy Director of the Institute on Science for Global Policy (ISGP) in Arizona and Scientific Director of CNR’s “S&T Foresight Project,” he seeked to define research development strategies that can respond to serious emerging problems in society.

Giovanni Friolo

Advisor

Public Affairs manager with experience in various fields such as: stakeholder engagement, government affairs, regulatory strategy, advocacy and lobbying. Background in Health, Technology and Banking.
Law degree with focus in Public Law and a specialization in Health Management.
Assistant professor and lecturer at the Chair of Parliamentary Law. Member of international think tanks such as Aspen Institute Italy (USA) and Royal Institute of International Affairs – Chatham House (UK). In 2022 he was included in the Forbes Under 35 list.

Alessandro La Rocca

Advisor

In his career he has consolidated significant experience not only as a general manager but also in strategic planning, in the IT strategy definition and implementation, and in the management and development of complex business and related ICT impacts.
He has worked as Head of Information Systems in national and international companies in the travel and transportation sector, including the Ferrovie dello Stato S.p.A Group, where he was CEO and General Manager of FSTechnology S.p.A., the Ferrovie dello Stato Group company for the development, management and delivery of ICT and Innovation services. He is currently a management consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers Advisory S.p.A. in Milan.

VERONICA GRIZI

Research Assistant

She graduated in Biological Sciences and Human Nutrition Sciences at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, and participated in the research project “Key Micronutrients in Local Sicilian Grain Populations” at the CREA-Food and Nutrition Institute.

In 2022, she collaborated with COMITANS Foundation on the “Nutridono” project and is currently the Foundation’s Research Assistant. She decided to work with the Foundation because she believes that it is essential to inform and to raise awareness on issues regarding food and nutrition.

FEDERICO PETRUIO

Fundraising and Communication

A graduate in Political Science from Roma Tre, he has always
been dedicated to the world of the third sector, first as a volunteer and later as a
professional.

He has worked with migrants both in Italy and Spain,
alongside the homeless in Caritas as a social worker, and eventually alongside
minors at risk of social marginalization in Sport Senza Frontiere.
Here was born his passion for fundraising and he served as
Head of Fundraising from Individuals and SMEs.

He loves sports, reading books and spending time
with his family.
